Portland, Oregon – Last week I spent 2 ½ days with fellow independent entrepreneurs at a brand new conference called Pioneer Nation.
If there was ever an event hand-crafted for me, this would be it. The entire affair was geared towards independent entrepreneurs, small business owners, and freelancers that are creating their own work and forging their own destinies.
I met entrepreneurs from all walks of life with varying levels of business experience. I met two artists from Brooklyn that created over $500,000 in revenue during the last year from one simple idea.
I met coaches and consultants that are attracting gobs of clients by leveraging technology to deliver their creative solutions.
I met a guy who became so successful developing web applications that he quit his job and more than doubled his salary.
And I met hoards of creative entrepreneurs that are inventing their own work and thriving at what they do.
Endless Opportunity
One thing became very clear after just a few conversations with fellow attendees. Opportunities are endless. New businesses and new ideas are sprouting up everywhere. And more and more people are choosing to strike out on their own as independent entrepreneurs.
